Very good blog. I imagine that we'll see these 5, playing in the NHL in 3 years.

You're popular enough for someone to copy you?

Nobody wants to be him, he's a Richard.

Good write up man, It's funny to see the top Russians from 2 years back ranked behind th 18 Y.Olds

How much better is Yak than Tarasenko? Is he all around better or just defensively?

Edit: My bad his comparison was Hossa and thus he would be better defensively. So Yak is what better offensively and more speed? Better IQ?

Yakupov, hall, eberle, nugent- Hopkins, and paajarvi. The oilers should be fun to watch this year.

Yakupov has the kind of offensive skill that can find him scoring 40 goals and over a PPG. Right now Tarasenko is the better player, I mean he is 2 years older, but Yakupov has the higher potential.

He was extremely lackluster when he came back to Moskva. Plus he has played 53 some odd games, not really prospect status.

Yes, I too noticed that Galyenchuk is omitted. He may even be better than Yakupov...maybe

I watched like 10 Sarnia games living so close to the border THIS YEAR, Yakupov has some very serious skill 40 seems logical and doable, he has had a couple concussions in Junior so hopefully he doesn't get his bell rung to hard in the nhl.

I went to 3-4 games with my boss and he usually houses a couple sarnia kids each years and Yakupov's dad is a (frank)ing hoot...he brings this waist zipper with a 26er of russian vodka and shot glasses for the select seating, spetznik was so good I bought 3 bottles in Turkey a few months ago.

Anyways, great blog as always Adam, learned a couple things so it's all good.

Grigorenko comparison is Thornton? Hmmm I see him more like a getzlaf. I just see him shooting more than having "dat vision" like big Joe.
